NASDAQ OMX to Stop Real-Time Dissemination of Select Russell Indexes on RussellTick Effective Wednesday, August 1, 2012

What you need to know:

  • NASDAQ OMX®, on behalf of Russell Indexes, will terminate the real-time dissemination of the following Russell indexes beginning Wednesday, August 1, 2012:
  • Russell Emerging Market Mega Cap Growth (REMCG)
  • Russell Emerging Market Mega Cap Value (REMCV)
  • Please note: The index end-of-day summary (Category A - Type B) message will continue to be disseminated for these indexes

What has been announced?

Effective Wednesday, August 1, 2012, data recipients will no longer receive real-time index information from the proprietary RussellTickTM data feed for the following indexes:

  • Russell Emerging Market Mega Cap Growth (Symbol: REMCG)
  • Russell Emerging Market Mega Cap Value (Symbol :REMCV)

How will the indexes be disseminated?

NASDAQ OMX will now identify these indexes via the following data elements in RussellTick:

NASDAQ OMX will also support the following directory messages on RussellTick:

  • Index End of Day Summary (Category A - Type B): Disseminated at the end of the U.S. or European trading session to relay closing index summary data.
  • Index Directory (Category A - Type C): Disseminated at the start of each day to relay basic index information.
