The BX Options Market Announces Market Data Fees, Effective July 1, 2013

What you need to know:

  • NASDAQ OMX successfully launched the BX Options Market on June 29, 2012 and currently offers both the BX Options Top of Market (BX Top) and BX Options Depth of Market (BX Depth) data feeds free of charge.
  • Effective Monday, July 1, 2013, NASDAQ OMX® will implement market data fees for the BX Top and BX Depth data feeds, subject to filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

What are the BX Top and BX Depth of Market data feeds?

BX Top and BX Depth are market data feeds that provide the following information about BX Options, the new options exchange from NASDAQ OMX that was launched on June 29, 2012:

  • BX Top provides the same Best Bid and Offer (BBO) and last sale information that are sent to the Options Price Reporting Authority (OPRA).
  • BX Depth provides the full depth of orders and quotes, net order imbalance information for the opening cross and last sale data.

What is the fee schedule for BX Top and BX Depth?

As of Monday, July 1, 2013, BONO and ITTO data will be subject to the following distributor and subscriber fee schedule:

Internal Distribution - $1,500 per month

  • BX Top Internal Per User Fees
  • $5 professional
  • BX Depth Internal Per User Fees
  • $10 professional
  • Non-Display Enterprise License
  • $2,500 per month

External Distribution - $2,000 per month

  • BX Top External Per User Fees
  • $5 professional
  • $1 non-professional
  • BX Depth External Per User Fees
  • $10 professional
  • $1 non-professional

Please note that one distributor fee will allow a subscriber access to both BX Top and BX Depth.
