  • The parent company will continue to be traded on The NASDAQ Global Select Market under the symbol KFT.

What is changing?

On Monday, September 17, 2012, Kraft Foods Group, Inc. Common Stock when issued and Mondelēz International, Inc. Common Stock Ex-distribution when issued are expected to begin trading on The NASDAQ Global Select Market® under the symbols KRFTV and MDLZV, respectively. The parent company will continue to be traded on The NASDAQ Global Select Market under the symbol KFT.

On August 14, 2012, Kraft Foods Inc. (NASDAQ®: KFT) announced that its Board of Directors approved the spin-off of its North American grocery business and declared a pro rata distribution of shares of Kraft Foods Group, Inc. (which will hold the North American grocery business) to holders of Kraft Foods Inc. common stock. In conjunction with this transaction, Kraft Foods Inc. will be changing its name to Mondelēz International, Inc. at the completion of the spin-off. Both the market for the spin-off (NASDAQ: KRFTV) and the parent company on an ex-distribution basis (MDLZV) are expected to trade on The NASDAQ Global Select Market on Monday, September 17, 2012. Trades made in the "Ex-Distribution" Market (MDLZV) of Mondelēz International, Inc. will not carry due-bills for the spin-off.
